Most "mobility" advocates hate pedestrian bridges, but this is still hilariously out of touch.

Obligatory convertible aside, I’m all for more pedestrian/cycling infrastructure, but as far as I can tell, here is where this is:
(connecting the sidewalks at the top and bottom of the picture)
It’s not clear to me that this area has the population density to warrant a pedestrian bridge? There is a subdivision to the south and a school to the north, so maybe connecting those would be desirable? Still $3.2M seems like a lot? I’m sort of doubtful the road is so busy they couldn’t take a lane for pedestrians. You could even get room for a sidewalk by shrinking each lane by a foot, though that would leave with you pretty narrow lanes .

Gotta spend all of the municipal grant grant or else next year its gonna be lower.
On the other hand it might have some advantages; having the pedestrian path separate makes it quieter and cleaner (no exhaust sound) and it might attract people exercising or on bicycle.
But yeah, pretty expensive bridge; a quick look at the map makes me think it'd make more sense on N main and Seneca.

It... gives residents a feeling of safety and connectedness.
...or it did , until the driver of that car (who is that anyway?) crashed the party to demonstrate the conspicuous lack of bollards on the bridge.

I completely forgot the Lexus IS convertible existed. I’ve never seen one in my life.
That is the most Boomer car you can possibly buy, in a three way tie with an SC or a Corvette convertible with chrome rims and an automatic.
